Wild Blessings Christmas Tea

Dear Wild friends,

Teaching others to identify and eat the green gifts we are so bountifully blessed with is…what I get to do for a living!  It has been as much fun for me to teach each of you as it has been for you all to learn!

Let’s celebrate with a Wild Christmas Tea at my house Tuesday, December 20th at 1pm – 4ish!  No charge for this ‘class’, just LOVE!

So thankful for Helen Barnes Reilly opening up the Todd Mercantile for my Teaching Tuesdays and Foraging Fridays!

Party Plans:

  • play a crazy plant game to see how much you all remember
  • share a wild white elephant gift exchange
  • craft forest folks or nature frames to treasure using my endless collections of moss, seed pods, dried flowers, nuts and caps…
  • sample tasty treats while guessing what wildcrafted teas we are sipping
  • And…for a special treat, I have put together a slide show of the many weeks we foraged together as we rode Nature’s wave throughout the seasons offerings

Please bring:

  • Something to share for all to eat.  I am making an acorn ginger crust cheesecake with the chestnut acorns we harvested together this Fall.  YUM!  Doesn’t have to be wild…but there is Chickweed out in perfusion is anyone is up to Chickweed hummus, and there is always the wild edible roots to dig up and serve in some tasty manner, anything you preserved in it’s season can also be an offering (wild jams, jellies, pickles…)  This is not a lunch, just a tea, but I know this group and…..we LOVE to eat!
  • A plant related gift (wrapped) to play the White Elephant game with.  You will go home with a gift as well 🙂  (can be a used plant book, something you made from nature (food or craft), anything related to wildcrafting

Let’s wrap up this year of learning together with this time of creating and snacking!

Call me if you are coming or have a question!  RSVP is helpful.

So much LOVE,
