When you are driving and have to name every plant silhouette that you pass as if it were a long lost friend.
When you watch the landscape rather than the acting in movies.
When you carry your foraging backpack with all it’s important stuff in it wherever you go JUST IN CASE.
When you dream about the birds getting to the ripe Hawthorn haws before you do.
When your icecube trays carry ice that is not clear.
When you pound hundreds of nails in the attic ribs to dry Winter’s food supply of weeds.
.
When your husband stops asking what is in his dinner ….
I love being WILD!

Thank you;
I am fairly new to foraging wild seeds or pseudo-grains. Mainly I have foraged for mushrooms, dandilion and lambs quarter greens, plantain and yarrow for salves and tinctures, making green juice for my garden from stinging nettle, and things like that. finding your site has seriously made my day! AND I found some wild amaranth growing down where I used to put our horse, goat and sheep manure. I now have alot more to be excited about! I am 70 years old and am learning more now than ever before…guess I have a bit more time since my hubby retired from ministry.
Again, I thank you! May God Bless You and those You Love!
Good Growing, K.

Sounds like you are off to a great start! May the Lord reveal more of His wild riches to you as you forage with Him in nature. I always pray “Lord give me eyes to see your gifts hidden in plain view!”
Dandelion, Lambsquarter, Plantain, Yarrow and Nettle are 5 plants that we all need to know 100 things about and use them every day for health and wholeness. Green Powerhouses!
