Burdock roots (4 or 5 of them) cleaned and sliced thin
2 T Tamari soy sauce
2 T Honey
2 T Vinegar
4 ounce of water
2 T sesame seeds
Dig burdock from Fall or Spring roots of first year plants. Burdock is a biennial and lives only for two years. The first year the plant has only basal rosettes of leaves, the second year the plant sends up stalks with those infamous burrs on them. An easy way to find the first year plants is below or near the 2nd year skeleton.
