Wild Blessings Christmas Playlist

Neva’s magnificent Christmas ornament. Can you name the different nature treasures she used to create this?

Here is my Christmas video playlist of Wild Blessings classes on decorating and cooking wild for the holidays!  I love decorating with nature’s scraps of pine cones, seed pods, berries, moss…. as well as adding the wildly preserved to my holiday cooking.  Each video has helpful time codes to help you navigate to what interests you.  Look at the list below and watch. ENJOY!

“Rejoice and be glad forever in what I create.” Isaiah 65:18

When we make something with our hands we are engaged in imitating our Creator.  Creating with God’s handiwork is like partnering with God in our artistry. Each of us have been given gifts by God to create, not all in the same expression but all valid and life giving.  The important thing is to be a participant and not merely a spectator.

Rejoicing in Creation by Creating

Creating with nature’s scraps
A tapestry of leaves and twigs
A mosaic of stones and shells
A collage of petals and pinecones
With patience and a gentle touch
We weave and arrange and glue
A masterpiece of natural art
A reflection of the world we knew
The colors of the forest floor
The textures of the ocean shore
A symphony of earth and sky
In every piece, a story is told
So let us gather nature’s scraps
And let our creativity flow
As we create and innovate
With the beauty of the earth below
